Get Paid for Travelling

Image
How to get paid for travelling.  Travelling for most of us is like a sweet dream and most of the times the fantasies and sweet dreams are rudely interrupted for one reason or another. We are all aware of the various discomforts involved in travelling no matter how short the distance is. Let us take the next 2 minutes and think about our miseries of travelling for the last time for there is a solution to our woes . We all know how painful and frustrating it is to go to the park and the seats that are available are those small and uncomfortable seats in middle aisle or those seats on top of the tire. All these seats reduce the fun and comfort of travelling and even making the journey longer than normal. Another frustrating experience would be you paying for a comfortable seat and you are prepared to enjoy your journey, then you are joined by this fat traveling companion who would have to borrow part of your seat by squeezing you. And with that not being enough, snores all t...

ABC of Antibiotic Resistance.

Image
I vividly remember being well beaten for being a destructive and stubborn kid. And the more I was beaten, the less I felt the pains till it reached the moment I felt no pains but irritations when I was beaten. I guess my pain receptors were dead. I am sure present day bacteria would tell a similar story in regards to antibiotics for they have been exposed to all sorts and grown immune to them rendering treatment ineffective. Antibiotic is the medical term to describe drugs used in treating diseases caused by bacteria. They play a very important role in reducing the presence and burden of diseases such as pneumonia, cholera, TB and sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea (call them communicable diseases) which are very much alive and active in our communities. With such a crisis like antibiotic resistance, treating people with HIV/AIDS would be difficult. We cannot blame the bacteria for being resistant to antibiotics because adaptability is a natural process for them....

6 signs you aren't cut out to be an entrepreneur.

Image
Lots of people want to start a business. But not everyone has what it takes. The proportion of those who merely  want  to be entrepreneurs will always be higher than that of the few who actually  start  a business. The simple reason is that not everyone is cut out for the rigors of entrepreneurship. So, you may be thinking about starting a business. But can you? Check out the following signs that you are not cut out for the entrepreneurial life. 1. You prefer following orders The world is made of followers and leaders. Which one are you? If you're committed to being a comfortable order-taker the rest of your life, perhaps entrepreneurship is not for you. If, on the other hand, you feel a twitch of desire to make some decisions and give some orders, that may be the spark of entrepreneurship. 2. You prefer working to fulfill someone else's dream Businessman, investor and philanthropist Farrah Gray wrote, "Build your own dreams, or someone els...

9 sure signs you are seen as a Great Leader

Image
Do people view you as a leader? In the movies, amazing leaders can frequently be seen making life-changing speeches — sometimes whilst riding a horse back and forth before a mass of armored, sword-wielding soldiers. In real life, leadership is a much quieter trait. In fact, you may not always even realize that others see you  as a great leader. Here are some signs that people view you as a leader : 1. Everyone seeks out your opinion This is probably the most obvious sign that your peers view you as a leader. Whether or not you're the boss, you're a fixture in the office when it comes to giving insight and opinions. If this sounds like you, then your coworkers clearly value your wisdom. 2. You're a good communicator People won't think you're a great leader just because you've got good ideas. You've got to be able to communicate those ideas too. "There has to be a sense that the person themselves believes in the project or idea," leadership ...

Can a Drunken Generation of Youths Contribute to the Development a Nation?

Image
Cameroon being a young nation is seeking development and growth, and it is said that the youths are the future of the nation. This implies that the future of the nation depends on the energy of the youths and on the wisdom of the old. But we are face with a supposed sad phenomenon in that we have a drunken and lousy generation of youths, commonly known as the “Android Generation”. Worth noting is that Cameroon is ranked high in the global classification of alcohol consuming nations. With such a generation, the development of the nation seems farfetched. So the question here is this; Can a drunken and lousy generation of youths drive the development and growth of the nation up the charts? Leggo. Normally, the youths were never conceived and they were never born drunk. Circumstances which may or may not be within their control should have influenced this generation going bananas nad astray all thanks to alcohol. One of these circumstances triggering this could be the social life...

How do you really get these crazy stretch marks?

Image
They are one of the dermal nightmares of women though they are not restricted to women only for men also have them. Many of us don't know how they come about, we just realize one morning there are some lines somewhere around our belly, thighs, buttocks, and breasts. And with such a realization, the immediate effect is discomfort with our bodies. We no longer enjoy a sun bath around the pool or beach just because our skin confidence has been diminished. Here is a little something we should know about these lineal monsters called stretch marks: Stretch marks are caused by the tearing of the dermis ( the dermis helps the skin retain shape) due to rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid weight changes and growth. Other causes might include hormonal changes associated with puberty, pregnancy, body building or hormone replacement therapy. They usually begin as reddish or purple lesions in areas where larger amounts of fats are stored, making the belly, the breasts, the ...

Importance of Entrepreneurship to Economical Emergence of a Nation (Case Study of the USA)

Image
GiftedMom, making health information and access available at the last mile, using Innovative and low cost mobile technologies. O Cameroon, cradle of our parents. Land of promise for a few and land of doom for the majority. Those who see the promises are the few courageous ones. And the majority who see Cameron as the land of doom do so through the eyes of the economy which is a lil bit shy of pathetic. The Cameroonian economy is both underdeveloped and developing (a lil bit faster than snail pace) and it is my believe the most developed economies in the world were once down the scale as the present state of Cameroon. But what is the formula used by these "emerged" economies? Let's take a look at how the United States of America ( capital of the free World) attained and surpassed the vision of Cameroon. Of the 27.9 million businesses in the United States, approximately 27.8 million, or 99.7 percent, are considered small. Although there is no universal definition of a s...

Hacking the Cameroon medical transport system

Image
Some 4 years back in school, a friend of mine broke his leg during a football game and had to be rushed to hospital and I accompanied him. We took a bike from the field to Tobin roundabout and then a Taxi to St Elizabeth’s General Hospital Shishong. The pains he felt while in transit to the hospital were more than excruciating, for they were worse than the pain you feel when a blade cuts through your flesh and pepper is rubbed on the fresh cut ( you could try and confirm it…). The situation could not be addressed at Shishong and we were referred to St Martin’s Hospital Njinikom. The broken leg and the horrible Kumbo roads were the worst combinations ever, for the journey was a torturing ride through hell. That’s a memory neither him nor I would forget. I know we all have a story to tell in relation to our person being sick and in need of transportation and there was none.   The sad and horrific memories of Monique Koumate who is claimed to have died in transit from T...
